Exciting Innovations: Suhr Guitars Reveals Its 2026 Electric Guitar Collection
NAMM 2026: Suhr Guitars has officially launched its electric guitar lineup for 2026, featuring a highly anticipated signature model for Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden, alongside two new signature guitars for Pete Thorn, and an expanded range of OSO short-scale models.
Madden’s signature guitar takes center stage, marking his transition to Suhr after developing a deep admiration for the brand’s craftsmanship over the past few years. A pivotal figure in the pop-punk movement of the early 2000s, Madden previously collaborated with Music Man, releasing a signature model during the peak of Good Charlotte’s fame in 2004.
In a conversation with Guitar World last year, Madden expressed that his growing appreciation for vintage guitars played a notable role in his decision to switch brands, likening Suhr’s instruments to “classic automobiles.” His new T-type signature model emphasizes simplicity, featuring twin P-90 pickups at its core and a beautifully roasted maple neck.
Signature Models galore
The 2026 lineup is rich with signature models, prominently showcasing Telecaster-inspired designs. Notable additions include guitars for Big Wreck’s Ian Thornley and genre-blending artist Andy Wood, each enhancing the Classic T template in unique ways.
Tim Stewart, known for his work with Lady Gaga, has also contributed to the lineup, introducing a striking all-black offset guitar that has been showcased during the recent Mayhem Ball tour.
Innovative designs and Features
Thornley’s signature model boasts a natural finish and a versatile twin humbucker configuration, complete with four controls for precise manipulation of volume and tone. In contrast, andy Wood’s model, equipped with dual humbuckers, presents a more contemporary aesthetic, available in eye-catching Red and Blue color options.
Breaking away from the trend, Pete Thorn, who recently joined the SatchVai Band, has opted for S-type models. His HH signature guitars feature a refreshed design, including a hardtail Suhr tremolo system, gold top hat knobs, and his signature soft-V neck profile.
James Norbert Ivanyi’s Antique Modern model, a culmination of years of development, represents a harmonious blend of modern performance and classic design. Ivanyi describes it as “a tribute to the vintage sound and style that has influenced my music from the start.”
This model includes a lightweight alder body, a roasted maple neck, an ebony fingerboard, and aged clay inlays that offer a subtle twist on customary mother-of-pearl. Additional features include vintage bent black saddles, a custom antique nitrocellulose relic finish, a signature low-profile tremolo bar, and two distinctive color options: Russet Brown and Antique Yellow.
New Offerings Beyond Signatures
In addition to the signature models, Suhr is introducing updated versions of its popular 24.625″ OSO short-scale guitars, which debuted at NAMM last year to considerable excitement. The lineup also includes a Classic T Pine series and new Classic S Studio and Classic S neoteric models for Strat enthusiasts.
Despite the recent news of one of its prominent artists, Mateus Asato, moving on to new ventures, Suhr is not slowing down, presenting an remarkable array of designs for 2026.
