Fender has unveiled a significant update for its premier amplifier modeler, the Tone Master Pro, introducing an impressive array of 15 new effects along with a selection of fresh amplifiers and cabinets.
What’s New in Version 1.8.45?
The latest update, version 1.8.45, showcases Fender’s collaboration with the renowned EVH brand, adding a powerful 50-watt 5150 III combo amp to its lineup. This addition features three distinct models that capture the essence of their signature tones: the Green (clean), Blue (crunch), and Red (high-gain).
Classic amps and New Options
In addition to the EVH combo, the update includes several classic Fender amplifiers. The vintage charm of the ’57 Champ and ’65 Twin Custom 15 is complemented by the debut of two iconic models from 1968: the deluxe Reverb and the Princeton Reverb. Bassists will also appreciate the inclusion of the rumble 800, providing yet another avenue for tone exploration.
New Cabinets to Match
The update introduces eight new cabinets designed to pair seamlessly with the new amplifier heads while also filling gaps left by previous models. These include a 1×8 ’57 Champ, a 1×10 ’65 princeton GB, a 1×10 ’68 Princeton, a 1×12 ’65 Deluxe GB, a 1×12 ’68 deluxe, a 1×15 Twin Custom, a 1×12 EVH 5150 G12H, and a 4×12 British G12H.
Innovative Effects to Enhance Your Sound
The effects section is where the update truly shines. Notable additions include the Rockbox 100, Fender’s interpretation of the Scholz R&D Rockman X100 headphone amplifier; the Grunt, tailored for modern metal tones reminiscent of the Fortin Grind; and the Lightyear, inspired by the Greer lightspeed overdrive.
Additionally, two EarthQuaker Devices-inspired effects make their appearance: the Pinions overdrive and Runes bass overdrive. The Integrator Boost draws from the TC Electronic Integrated Preamp, while the seventy Sixer Compressor pays homage to the legendary Global Audio 1176.

A second page for footswitch assignments increases the total to 16 footswitches per preset, making it easier for players to customize their setups. Additionally, users can now toggle between needle-mode tuning and strobe tuning for greater precision.
The looper function has also seen improvements, allowing for more seamless performances, reminiscent of Ed Sheeran’s looping style.
