Thier commitment to demonstrating the product’s capabilities has led them to some extreme testing scenarios.

Founded by two visionary Swiss industrial designers, Ebbe Design’s modular pedalboard concept emerged in 2024, marking a significant advancement in pedalboard technology. This design allows musicians to customize their pedalboards with ease, akin to assembling Lego pieces, enabling players to adjust the size of their setup effortlessly.
Magnetic Magic: The Mechanics Behind the Design
The pedalboard features ultra-strong magnetic plates that securely attach to the bottom of each pedal, ensuring stability during performances. With a 5mm gap designed for patch cables to run underneath, and ample space for a power supply, this pedalboard prioritizes functionality. To showcase the strength of their magnetic system, Ebbe Design took their pedalboard to the Pendenta Bridge in Graubünden, Switzerland, a staggering 270 meters long and nearly 100 meters above the Rhine River. Here, they put the pedalboard to the ultimate test.
“we’re so confident in our product that we’re going to toss it off this bridge,” one designer declared before gleefully launching the pedalboard-secured with a bungee cord-over the edge.

As the pedalboard plummeted and then rebounded, every pedal remained firmly in place, showcasing the remarkable strength of the magnetic connection. This daring demonstration certainly left an impression.
