Cesar Gueikian Announces Departure: A New Chapter for Gibson
In a meaningful shift for the iconic guitar manufacturer, Cesar Gueikian has revealed his plans to resign from his roles as President and CEO of Gibson.
Gueikian’s leadership will officially conclude on July 31, as confirmed in a recent press release from the company.Following his departure,he will transition to a position on the Board of Directors and will continue to engage with artists in his new capacity as a “global artist ambassador.”
During this interim period, Anne Rohosy, currently serving as Chief Commercial Officer, will step in as the Interim President and CEO while the board conducts its search for a permanent replacement.

gueikian’s Journey with Gibson
Gueikian joined Gibson in 2018, a pivotal time when the company was recovering from bankruptcy and the controversial leadership of former CEO Henry Juszkiewicz. Initially taking on the role of Chief Merchant Officer, he quickly made a significant impact, notably recruiting Mark Agnesi from the renowned vintage guitar store, Norman’s Rare Guitars, to enhance the brand experience.
By 2021, he was elevated to brand President, and two years later, he ascended to the CEO position following James “JC” Curleigh’s departure.
As CEO, Gueikian was known for his hands-on approach, collaborating closely with high-profile artists, even crafting guitars for them, and teasing new models while co-creating original music with some of the brand’s most celebrated names.
