NAMM 2025: Fender made a spectacular return to NAMM this year, captivating audiences with its notable lineup.
In a groundbreaking move, the company introduced the $599 Standard Series, a collection crafted in indonesia that aims to redefine the notion of an affordable Fender guitar, signaling a important shift for the brand.
On the other end of the spectrum, Fender also showcased two remarkable lines from its renowned Custom Shop, which never fails to impress. Among these were the Cocktail Collection, inspired by the world of mixology, and the stunning 2025 Prestige Collection.
Exploring the Prestige Collection
The Prestige Collection features a total of 11 models, including six Stratocasters, two Telecasters, a Meteora, a rare Performer model, and a highly sought-after baritone Jazzmaster, which has gained immense popularity in recent years.
The Baritone Jazzmaster: A Masterpiece
Leading the charge is the Prestige Sub-Sonic Jazzmaster, meticulously crafted by Custom Shop Masterbuilder Andy Hicks. This guitar boasts a Black Limba body paired with a quarter-sawn roasted maple neck, featuring a agreeable large “C” profile and a 9.5” radius fingerboard, all extended to a 27″ scale length.
Its aesthetic appeal is enhanced by a Thin Black Burst lacquer finish, period-correct black inlays, and a black headstock adorned with a chrome Fender decal. The sonic capabilities are powered by a trio of mini-humbuckers, ensuring a rich and versatile sound.

The Unique Carved Top Meteora
Another standout in the collection is the Prestige Carved Top Meteora, crafted by Masterbuilder Kyle McMillin.This distinctive offset guitar features a select mahogany body topped with a beautifully bound and carved 5A quilted maple top. It also includes a 3A flame maple neck and a slab ebony fingerboard, ensuring both elegance and playability.
Equipped with Sonic Pickups humbuckers and a recessed Floyd Rose Locking Tremolo, this instrument is designed for both aesthetic appeal and high-performance playability.

The Revived Prestige Performer
Collectors will be notably interested in the Prestige Performer, which resurrects the cult classic model from the mid-80s. This modern iteration is a meticulous homage to the original, featuring contemporary enhancements such as a contoured neck heel, a compound fingerboard radius from 9.5” to 12”, and a Custom Classic Hardtail Strat bridge.

Impressive Telecasters
The Telecasters in the Prestige Collection are equally remarkable. The Prestige Custom Tele, designed by Masterbuilder Austin MacNutt, features a stunning custom top from Feldthouse Family Woodworks.It combines a custom Shop Josefina Campos Hand-Wound ’55/’56 Tele bridge pickup with a Curtis Novak mini-humbucker in the neck position.
Meanwhile, the Paisley Telecaster XII, crafted by Senior Masterbuilder Dennis Galuska, showcases a unique paisley finish, a quartersawn maple neck with a “Gumby” 12-string headstock, and a Custom Shop Josefina Campos hand-wound ‘67 Tele bridge pickup paired with a Curtis Novak Electric XII neck pickup.

Striking Stratocasters
The Prestige Collection also includes six stunning Stratocasters. Among them is the Prestige ’66 Stratocaster, featuring a trio of Custom Shop Josefina Campos Hand-Wound ’66 Strat pickups and a breathtaking Aged Cherry Sunburst finish. Another highlight is the Contura stratocaster,which incorporates 27 feet of gold wire and 25 diamonds,along with various cuts of hand-selected maple.
