Among their key influences were legendary bands like The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac, particularly the peter Green era. Perry also cites lesser-known groups, such as Blodwyn Pig, led by Mick Abrahams, which notably inspired the creation of ”Mama Kin.” He has openly acknowledged borrowing the opening riff from their track “see My Way,” which was crafted on an acoustic guitar that drummer Joey Kramer discovered discarded and damaged.

Despite his initial skepticism about the need for a remaster, perry has come to appreciate the new version. “I questioned whether we needed to revisit this, especially as we had released remastered versions before without noticing much difference,” he jokes. “However, this time was unique; getting to listen to the multi-tracks was a fantastic experience. The sound quality on modern equipment is vastly superior to what we had in 1973. The remixes capture the essence of being in the same room with the band, making it feel fresh and alive.”
Perry also noted improvements in the drum sound, which he had previously criticized, adding that the remastering process has breathed new life into the album.However, he acknowledges that their debut set the stage for a challenging start to their career.
