BEAT Announces fall 2026 US Tour with Exciting Lineup Changes
The progressive rock supergroup BEAT, a spin-off of King Crimson, has revealed plans for a US tour set for Fall 2026, featuring a fresh addition to their lineup.
Expanding the Musical Horizon
This upcoming tour promises to delve deeper into the extensive catalog of King Crimson, showcasing a wider array of their iconic tracks.
Founded by former King Crimson members Adrian Belew and Tony Levin in early 2024, BEAT has brought on board renowned guitarist Steve vai, who will take on the formidable challenge of filling Robert Fripp’s shoes.
New Faces and Fresh Sounds
As the band gears up for their next series of performances,they will introduce former Frank Zappa and U.K. drummer Terry Bozzio, who replaces Danny Carey due to the latter’s commitments with Tool.
In a notable shift, the setlist will now include selections from King Crimson’s 1995 album, Thrak, which features both Belew and Levin, adding a new layer to their live shows.
A New Experience Awaits

Previously, BEAT’s performances primarily focused on King Crimson’s 1980s albums, including Discipline, Beat, and Three Of A Perfect Pair. Vai has been rigorously preparing to master some of Fripp’s most challenging guitar parts.
Global Reach and Recent Tours
BEAT has successfully toured across the United States, Mexico, South America, and Tokyo, recently completing a 31-city tour across Europe, where even Fripp himself made an appearance in Tallinn, estonia.
This new chapter means Vai will have more material to learn, as the industrial sound of Thrak adds a fresh dimension to their performances. It also allows him to share the stage with the frequently enough-overlooked Belew.
Musical Legacy and Future Aspirations

In previous interviews, the talented duo of BEAT has emphasized that they do not aim to replace King Crimson but rather seek to honor their legacy with authenticity.
With King Crimson remaining silent amid speculation of a new album, BEAT is stepping in to fill a notable gap in the progressive rock scene.
