Then, we received the devastating news that they had all gone down. The silence that followed was haunting; it was as if the entire room had collectively held its breath.Eventually, we learned that Buddy and Eric were safe, but the loss of Stevie was overwhelming.”
“It was a tragic moment,” he reflects somberly. “That day will forever be etched in my memory.”
Stevie Ray Vaughan tragically lost his life at the age of 35 in a helicopter accident near East Troy, Wisconsin, on August 27, 1990.
