“We initially planned to record Fervency over two days, but we completed it in just one,” Grasso explains. ”My producer, Matt Pearson, suggested I try some solo pieces. If they resonated, we would release them.”
Grasso’s solo performances on Solo Be-Bop! are nothing short of spectacular, and he emphasizes that every note is genuine, with no edits or corrections.
“I dislike the trend of copy-and-paste recording,” he asserts. “If I’m not satisfied with a take, I’ll simply redo it. To me, authenticity lies in being able to play a piece from start to finish.”
