Utilized 16x Rupert‌ Neve Designs⁢ 5052 microphone ‌preamps, with outputs connected to Avid ⁤HD analog-to-digital converters ⁤linked to an Avid HDX card. The session⁣ was recorded using Pro ⁤Tools Ultimate on‌ an Apple Mac ‍Pro 2019 16-core ⁣system.

Basic EQ: ‍The initial EQ settings were applied ‍using the Neve 5052 mic preamps, with no post-recording EQ ‍or processing added.

“The microphone placements were‍ carefully ⁢measured to‍ ensure phase alignment,‍ particularly with the overheads and room mics centered ​on the snare drum.The AEA R88 MK2​ mics, being stereo, maintained phase integrity, ⁢while adjustments were made to the kick⁣ and‍ snare mics to correct any phase discrepancies. Hi-pass filters were selectively applied to the hi-hat, ride​ mic, ‌and overheads. The studio’s ‍acoustics‍ were optimized for a neutral sound, accurately capturing the ⁤essence of the drums and cymbals.”
