Fender’s Acoustasonic Standard Series: Affordable Innovation for Aspiring Musicians
NAMM 2025: Following the accomplished launch of its new Standard line produced in Indonesia, Fender has introduced Standard versions of its groundbreaking Acoustasonic electric-acoustic guitars. This release marks the most budget-friendly option in the Acoustasonic lineup to date.
Designed with novice players in mind, the Acoustasonic Standard is priced at an accessible $599, a critically importent reduction from the premium models that retail around $1,999.This affordability is likely to attract those curious about the unique hybrid concept of the guitar.
For those unfamiliar, the Acoustasonic series elevates the hybrid electric-acoustic guitar experience by combining electric-inspired body shapes—such as the Telecaster and Jazzmaster—with an acoustic framework powered by an acoustic engine and noiseless magnetic pickups.
Notable artists like FINNEAS, Billie Eilish’s brother, and Jack White have already embraced signature versions of this innovative design.
The latest models are crafted at Fender’s Indonesian facility, which has a proven track record in producing affordable semi-hollow guitars, including the recent Tom DeLonge signature Starcaster.
While details about the launch are still emerging, Fender has confirmed the availability of two Standard models: the Telecaster and Jazzmaster shapes. Surprisingly, a Stratocaster model is not included in this initial offering, which may indicate Fender’s focus on what they believe will resonate most with budget-conscious players.
Both Standard models feature a solid Sitka spruce top with bracing and a fully chambered body. The pickups are designed by Fender and Fishman, although specific models have yet to be confirmed.
The onboard analog electronics include Volume and Blend controls, ensuring players experience the familiar feel of Fender’s iconic instruments. Notably, the three-way selector switch found in higher-end models has been omitted in these standard versions.
Available finishes for both models include Black, Aged Natural, and Honey Burst.
since its debut, the Acoustasonic concept has exceeded expectations, captivating a new generation of guitarists. FINNEAS, who became the first artist to receive a signature Acoustasonic last year, shared his enthusiasm for the instrument.
“I first encountered the acoustasonic guitar in 2019 while touring with Billie, and I used it at every performance that year,” FINNEAS remarked upon the announcement of his signature model.
“I prefer direct input; I don’t use amplifiers on stage or in the studio, so the sound quality when plugged directly into an audio interface or PA system is crucial for me.”
“The dual nature of the Acoustasonic Standard provides musicians with a wide range of acoustic and electric tones in one versatile instrument,” Fender states. “This defines the Acoustasonic experience.”
The Fender Acoustasonic Standard Series is set to launch in April, with each model priced at $599.99.
